Vivian Lee, Chief of Policy and School Investment
Vivian Lee is the Chief of Policy and School Investment for New Schools for Chicago, leading the organization’s policy and school grants work. She previously served as the Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives at Chicago Public Schools (CPS), where she was involved in many new initiatives including personalized learning, universal enrollment for high school, developing the new School Quality Rating Policy, a school diagnostic review process and other special education initiatives. Prior to joining CPS, Vivian was a project leader at Boston Consulting Group, where she advised corporate and education clients on strategic, organizational and operational challenges. She began her consulting career at the Monitor Group advising clients on marketing strategy. Vivian also previously served on the board of Chicago International Charter School.
Vivian received a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management. She is also an alumni of the Broad Residency, a leadership development program that places management talent in urban education.
