Rebecca Daen, Community Engagement Coordinator
Rebecca Daen is a Community Engagement Coordinator for New Schools for Chicago (NSC). Previously, she was a Teach for America corps member, where she taught 11th and 12th grade World Literature, American Literature, AP Literature, and Law Theory courses in West Garfield Park. Before teaching, she worked at several non-profits supporting women in transition and in the drug courts of central Pennsylvania.
Rebecca is originally from rural Western Massachusetts, but has enjoyed city life since moving to Chicago in 2014. She received a B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA where she majored in English Literature and minored in Italian. She received her M.A. in Education from Dominican University, through a partnership with Teach for America. Outside of work, she enjoys running with her dog, Ollie, and hopes to complete 10 marathons before her 30th birthday!
