LeShonne Segura, Education Pioneers  Fellow

Prior to joining New Schools for Chicago through the Education Pioneers Fellowship Program, LeShonne served as an administrator with more than 10 years of combined nonprofit, teaching and school leadership experience. LeShonne began her teaching career with Teach For America as the Director of College Counseling in the Noble Network of Charter Schools. Most recently, LeShonne was responsible for the launching community engagement and advocacy work as the founding Director of Family and Community Engagement at Rowe Elementary and Middle Schools. LeShonne is passionate about urban education and youth development, and is excited to continue to serve Chicago schools in a new capacity. LeShonne is a Chicago native and an alumna of Chicago Public Schools. She currently resides in
Chicago’s West Town neighborhood with her husband, Adrian, and their daughter, Amelie.
